### Associate Medical Director – OB/GYN – Dallas, Texas
Location: Dallas, TX
Permanent, Full-Time (No Locums / No 1099)
### Role Details:
* Schedule: Full-time leadership role
* Setting: Managed care organization (health plan)
* On-Call: As needed based on clinical or administrative demand
* Weekends: Possible depending on organizational needs
* Practice Focus: Utilization management, quality oversight, clinical leadership, and care coordination
* Not open to locums, visa candidates, or 1099 arrangements

### Clinical & Administrative Responsibilities:
* Review prior authorization and appeals requests for medical necessity
* Perform peer-to-peer calls to support utilization management
* Provide oversight of utilization management, disease management, and quality programs
* Participate in developing medical policies, clinical standards, and coverage guidelines
* Analyze provider performance data and assist with credentialing reviews
* Support pharmacy benefit oversight in collaboration with leadership
* Participate in oversight of fraud, waste, and abuse clinical activities
* Represent the organization with state and local regulatory bodies when assigned
* Evaluate and improve workflows, job processes, and department efficiency
* Chair or participate on clinical and managed care committees
* Identify member and provider education needs; assist in program development
* Support annual goal-setting and operational planning processes
* Assist with budget planning and department resource management
* Stay current on medical and managed care regulatory requirements

### Skills & Competencies Required:
* Strong leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills
* Deep understanding of managed care principles
* Working knowledge of Texas Medicaid regulations
* Ability to create, review, and interpret treatment plans
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and provider networks
* Proficiency in utilization management principles
* Knowledge of care coordination, population health, and social determinants of health
* Familiarity with pharmacy and behavioral health roles in managed care
* Ability to manage confidential information and perform under pressure
* Detail-oriented and comfortable with a hands-on approach
### Requirements:
* Board Certified in OB/GYN or relevant medical specialty — required, no exceptions
* Active Texas medical license or willingness to obtain
* Clean malpractice and licensing history (highly preferred)
* Experience in managed care and prior authorization — required
* Experience participating in utilization management committees — preferred
* Ability to oversee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
