  • Other details: The facility which is trauma level 1 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. Coverage includes 24-hour OBGYN call from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., with up to four hours of daily rounding and no in-house call required. Dates needed are December 24–29, January 20 and 22, March 17, April 22, and ongoing. The physician is not required to remain on-site while on call and would be called in for situations such as trial of labor after cesarean, rounding on post-cesarean or antepartum patients when no MFM is on call, or when contacted by CNMs, the Emergency Department, consulting physicians, or for maternal transports. Physicians are not required to round on patients managed by CNMs unless they fall into the specified categories, as CNMs have prescribing authority and can oversee deliveries with epidurals. Average on-site time typically does not exceed six hours, with approximate durations of under 90 minutes for consultations, one hour for D&C, up to two hours for laparoscopy or cesarean, and remaining on-site for trial of labor until delivery. Support staff includes full office personnel and dedicated delivery staff; patient population includes all ages; and both inpatient and outpatient settings are involved. EMR used is EPIC, and call structure includes one Midwife, one OB/GYN, and one MFM. Required services include circumcisions, tubal ligation, C-section deliveries, OB/GYN surgical procedures, and operative vaginal deliveries.
