Associate Medical Director – OB/GYN
Location: Dallas, Texas

Licenses & Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified OB/GYN – REQUIRED (no lapsed certifications)
- Clean malpractice & medical license – REQUIRED
- Not eligible: Locums, 1099, visa candidates
- Must be aligned with managed care philosophy
- Must understand Texas Medicaid regulations
- Strong leadership, communication & organizational skills
- Skilled in:
- Care coordination
- Population health
- Value-based care
- Evidence-based medicine
- Familiar with behavioral health & pharmacy roles
- Able to apply medical knowledge to business operations
- Comfortable with confidential information, negotiation, and high-pressure environments
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Oversee and support clinical activities for managed care population
- Review prior authorizations & appeals for medical necessity
- Conduct peer-to-peer calls
- Lead utilization, disease, and quality management efforts
- Contribute to development of medical policies, clinical standards, and coverage criteria
- Analyze provider performance, applications, site reviews, and quality metrics
- Assist with pharmacy benefit oversight
- Participate in fraud, waste & abuse program reviews
- Support annual goal-setting aligned with Parkland’s mission
- Participate in provider education and program development
- Engage with state and local agencies (TDI, HHSC, TMA) as needed
- Serve on medical management committees and interdisciplinary groups
