🔹 Role Overview
The Associate Medical Director will provide clinical leadership and oversight across utilization management, quality programs, policy development, and provider performance evaluation.
🔹 Key Responsibilities

Review prior authorization and appeal cases

Conduct peer-to-peer discussions

Provide oversight for utilization, quality, and disease management

Develop medical policies, coverage guidelines, and clinical standards

Assist in pharmacy benefit oversight

Support fraud, waste, and abuse program initiatives

Participate in process improvement, committee leadership, and community partnerships

Represent the organization in meetings with state and local regulatory bodies

Assist in provider credentialing and performance review

Contribute to annual goals, objectives, and clinical programs

Strong understanding of managed care concepts

Familiarity with Texas Medicaid regulations

Leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Experienced with treatment plan review and physician performance evaluation

Board Certification in OB/GYN – Required, no exceptions

Texas medical license or willingness to obtain – Required

Clean malpractice and license history – Highly preferred
