A rural Kentucky hospital is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN to provide inpatient coverage due to a recent provider resignation. This role involves managing labor and delivery, inpatient rounding, gynecologic surgeries, and responding to ER consults. The position offers steady scheduled dates and strong RN support in a Level I–II rural hospital environment.

Job Details / Responsibilities
-
Inpatient rounding and management of labor and delivery
-
Manage antepartum triage and treatment
-
Respond to ER consults related to OB/GYN issues
-
Perform required procedures:
-
Vaginal deliveries
-
C-sections
-
D&C
-
Ablations
-
Hysterectomies
-
Gynecologic surgeries based on urgency
-
Management of maternal hypertension and maternal hemorrhage

Work alongside RN support staff on L&D

No midwives onsite
-
Rural hospital with variable daily admissions
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified in OB/GYN — required
-
Active state medical license — required
-
ACLS and DEA — must be active during credentialing

Clean malpractice history — highly preferred
-
Availability at time of name clear — required
-
Ability to perform full-spectrum OB/GYN inpatient procedures
-
Comfortable working independently in a rural inpatient setting
