Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist/Physician to work locum shifts in Benton, Arkansas (AR). Starting as soon as January 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology role:
- 24 hour in-house call shifts
- 1-2 patients/shifts
- 720 deliveries/year
- Required skills: Low Risk Pregnancy, High Risk Pregnancy
- FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
- OB Ultrasounds – Performance of, interpretation, Level 1/Screening (viability), Level 2/Targeted (anatomic)
- Routine delivery: Vaginal, Decision-making for c-section
- Complicated delivery: C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC’s, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Surgical gynecology – Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only- tubal ligation, LOA’s chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s
Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role:
- AR state license; active, unrestricted or IMLC with Letter of Qualification in hand
- Board certified OBGYN
- AR State DEA
- BLS, PALS and Fetal Monitoring Certs
- Covid Vaccination- Required or Medical Exemption + Flu Shot
