Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour continuous call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic cases
- Manage labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic emergencies
- Respond to patient admissions and consults as needed
- Support a nursery and determine when transfer to higher level care is required for mothers or infants
- Collaborate with hospital staff and follow hospital protocols
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and care
Additional Information
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
- OB GYN background necessary
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
