Chief of OB/GYN – Baltimore, MD Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Seeking an experienced and visionary Chief of OB/GYN to provide strategic direction and leadership for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at a major regional health system serving the Greater Baltimore area. This nonprofit teaching hospital features a robust academic environment, advanced clinical programs, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. About the Department: • Recognized for high performance and patient safety excellence • Approximately 1,800 births annually at a modern maternity center • Active ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program with 16 residents (4 per year) • Academic affiliation with a leading medical school, offering opportunities to teach medical students and residents • Established team including generalist OB/GYNs, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, APPs, and gynecologic oncology support • Outpatient services across multiple locations and a clinic serving an underserved population • Supported by a laborist program and a growing maternal-fetal medicine practice Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the Department • Oversee daily clinical operations, faculty practice, budgeting, and quality initiatives • Lead recruitment, mentoring, and evaluation of faculty and staff • Collaborate with hospital leadership on program development, capital planning, and community engagement • Promote academic excellence, diversity, and innovation in women’s health care • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Qualifications: • MD or DO; Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology • Eligible for Maryland medical license and DEA registration • 7–10 years of clinical and administrative leadership experience (chair or emerging leader level) • Experience in an academic or teaching hospital environment preferred • Strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills • Master’s degree in healthcare management or business preferred Compensation & Benefits: • Competitive salary range: $400K–$600K+, based on experience • Incentive bonus eligibility • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA) • 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans • CME allowance and free parking • PSLF-eligible employer • Access to an on-site health and fitness center This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a dynamic OB/GYN department within a respected academic health system, advancing excellence in women’s health, education, and innovation for the Baltimore community.
