Locums | OB/GYN Laborist | Inpatient – Call Only | Cincinnati, OH Why This Role

  • Hospital-based laborist role providing comprehensive obstetric care
  • Majority low-risk deliveries within a well-equipped Labor & Delivery department
  • Collaborative environment with midwives, OB/GYN, and full hospital support team
Assignment Details Start Date: 12/29/2025 End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Call Only (In-House) Schedule: TBD (including weekends) Practice Setting: Inpatient Patients per Day: Labor and Delivery only Nursery Level: II EMR: Epic Call Ratio: TBD Trauma Level: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Requirements Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology ACGME or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency Active Ohio license DEA Clean history Clinical Details Scope: Full-spectrum obstetrics with labor and delivery focus; no GYN cases Case Mix: - 70% low-risk pregnancies - 10% high-risk pregnancies - ~25% C-sections Typical Procedures: - Vaginal, low forceps, and cesarean deliveries - Complicated deliveries (breech, multiples, abruptions) - VBACs and repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations - FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) - OB ultrasounds (Level I and II) Volume: - 30-bed L&D unit - ~5 nursery admissions per day Support Staff: - 2 midwives, 1 OB/GYN, and full L&D hospital team Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
