OB/GYN Physician needed in Ohio

Hospital in Ohio seeks 1–2 locum OB/GYN physicians to provide ongoing on-call coverage. The role includes full-scope OB/GYN responsibilities, including C-sections and gynecologic surgeries, supporting L&D, ER/GYN, and inpatient services. Job Details & Responsibilities

• Location: Hospital ER/GYN and L&D call

• Beds: 10 LDRP, 3 postpartum, 1 triage

• Nursery: 12 normal newborn beds; no special care nursery

• Practice: 2 physicians, 5 CNMs

• Case Mix:

  • 40–50% GYN

  • 1–4 GYN surgeries per day

  • 15–35% C-sections

• Volumes:

  • 2–5 newborn nursery admissions per day

  • Avg daily census: Newborns 3–4; Peds 0–1 every ~2 months

• EMR: EPIC

• Procedures: Must be able to perform C-sections and all OB/GYN surgeries

• Credentialing: 60–90 days; emergency temp privileges possible with clean background + active OH license/DEA

• Travel: Lodging approx. $150/night; standard/economy rates for other travel

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified – Required

• Ohio medical license – Required (IMLC considered for listed dates)

• NRP & ACLS – Required

• Flu vaccine – Required at credentialing

• COVID vaccine – Preferred

• Must confirm ability to perform C-sections and full-scope OB/GYN surgeries

• Must provide self-query NPDB report

• Must have a clean background for temp privileges

• Must have availability for all listed dates

• State License Requirement: Ohio
