Job description

Job description We are seeking a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens assignment in California beginning Jan 5, 2026. This 15-day opportunity features in-house, 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7am, totaling five to seven shifts per month and includes weekend coverage. The physician will deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, seeing approximately thirteen to fourteen patients daily. Candidates should have current delivery experience and be comfortable working in a collaborative hospital environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic settings
  • Manage labor and delivery, including performing deliveries
  • Care for approximately 13-14 patients per day
  • Collaborate with hospital teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Participate in weekend and weekday 24-hour shifts

Additional Information
  • Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology is required
  • Active California medical license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and DEA certification required prior to start
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Must have recent delivery experience; please note annual delivery volume in submission
  • 1-5 years of experience in similar practice settings highly preferred
  • NPDB Self-Query required
  • Disclosure of malpractice/license history required; candidates with history may be considered with limitations
