👩⚕️ Locum-to-Perm OB/GYN Hospitalist Opportunity 👶
📍 Des Moines, IA 50314
🏥 Position Overview:
- Start Date: A soon as credentialed
- Schedule: 24-hour in-house call (7a–7a)
- Shifts per Month: 6.5 (average)
- On Call: 24/7 coverage (call rooms available)
- Type: Inpatient (no telehealth)
- Supervision of APPs: None
- OBED Beds: 8
- Medical Imaging, Lab, & Pharmacy: Onsite
- Annual OBED Volume: ~1,389 visits (≈463 deliveries/year)
- MFM Coverage: On call
- Residents Present: Yes, but not under OB Hospitalist supervision
- GYN Duties: None
- EMR: Epic
⚕️ Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage OBED and emergent obstetric patients
- Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Care for patients without a primary OB/GYN
- Participate in the only maternity transport team in Iowa
✅ Requirements:
- Board Certified (or truly Board Eligible) – Required
- Active IA License or IMLC – Required (LOQ must be uploaded at name clear)
- Clean Background & Malpractice – Required
- Willingness to Consider Permanent Placement – Required (attestation form)
