Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OBGYN) to join its well-established women’s health team in Bridgeport, Connecticut .

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecology, supported by experienced nurses, midwives, and advanced practitioners. The position emphasizes teamwork, continuity of care, and a patient-first approach.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum services.

  • Perform office-based gynecologic procedures and manage inpatient consultations as needed.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including certified nurse midwives, nurses, and support staff.

  • Participate in labor and delivery coverage in coordination with other OBGYNs.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.

  • Promote preventive health education, wellness initiatives, and patient engagement.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure & Certification: Board Certified / Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.

  • Experience: Prior experience preferred, but this position is open to J1 Visa applicants and new graduates.
