Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a locum OB/GYN physician to provide hospital-based call coverage over four days in late November for a facility in south-central Virginia. This role includes managing labor & delivery patients, performing OB/GYN procedures, and covering unreferred patients as the laborist on call. The provider will work alongside an established team and hospitalist support.

9 Labor & Delivery beds

20 Postpartum beds

Team:

4 physicians in the practice

OBHG hospitalist coverage
-
Surgical assistants
-
3–4 nurses per shift

Average Nursery Admissions: 2–3 per day

Patient Responsibility: All OB/GYN emergencies, including unreferred patients

Required Procedures:

C-sections

Vaginal deliveries

Suction D&C

Management of ectopic pregnancies

Ovarian torsion

Abnormal uterine bleeding
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in OB/GYN (ABOG) – Required

Active Virginia Medical License – Required

DEA Certification – Required

BLS Certification – Required

Must be local
