- OB/GYN
- 24HR in-house call (OB only)
- 4-5 shifts per month
- Start: December 29, 2025
- Private sleep room + post-call day off
- EHR: Cerner
- Travel covered
Job Responsibilities
Manage labor and delivery care, including both routine and high-risk obstetric cases.
Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric procedures as needed.
Collaborate closely with nursing staff, hospitalists, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and perinatologists to ensure coordinated patient care.
Respond to obstetric emergencies and assist in stabilizing or transferring high-risk patients when necessary.
Attend deliveries where pediatricians or NICU staff are required for newborn care.
Perform postpartum rounds and assessments for patients under your care during the call period.
Handle after-hours calls related to obstetric patients (no clinic calls).
Complete timely and accurate documentation using the Cerner EHR system.
Participate in maintaining a safe, collaborative, and compassionate hospital environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain before start date)
Current DEA registration and active BLS/ACLS certifications
Experience in labor and delivery, including management of routine and high-risk pregnancies
Proficiency in C-sections, VBACs, and obstetric emergencies
Familiarity with Cerner EHR preferred (training provided if needed)
Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary hospital teams
