Medical Center is looking for a Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist to start on December 24, 2025!!
Schedule:
-
Start date: December 24, 2025
- Patient Contact Hours: 7a-7a
- Shift length: 24 hours (required)
- On Call: 24/7 (in house call. call rooms are available.)
Details:
- Inpatient: Yes
- Telehealth: No
- Supervision of APPs expected: No
- Number of exam rooms per provider: 8 bed OBED
- Medical Imaging: Yes
- Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
- Clinic provider daily volume: 1389 visits to OBED per year, roughly 463 result in deliveries
- MFM will be on call. There are residents but the OB Hospitalist will not be in charge of them.
- No GYN responsibilities
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities:
- OBED patients
- emergent patients (vaginal deliveries and C-sections)
- patients without primary OBGYN
- only maternity transport team in Iowa
- Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED (can accept truly board eligible candidates)
- Active IA License (STRONGLY preferred) or Active IMLC - REQUIRED
- Physician must be able to start December 24, 2025 - REQUIRED
- Clean Malpractice/Background - REQUIRED
