OBGYN Hospitalist Opening in Palm Springs, CA Position: OB/GYN Hospitalist (Board Certified or Board Eligible) Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible shift options) Schedule: Approximately 7.5 (full-time) or minimum 5.5 (part-time) 24-hour in-house shifts/month About the Role: Join a thriving OB/GYN Hospitalist team at Desert Regional Medical Center, a 387-bed tertiary acute care facility and the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley. Our practice features 2 OB Hospitalists in-house 24/7, ensuring you’re never alone on shift. Serve a growing community in a beautiful area where many choose to vacation and live. Key Responsibilities: * Attend deliveries and provide OB triage, patient evaluation, management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring, and ER coverage * Collaborate with MFM specialists who round and consult on high-risk patients * Manage care in a 30-bed community Level-III NICU supporting newborns 23 weeks and above * Participate in teaching and mentorship opportunities with fellows, residents, and medical students Practice Highlights: * Approximately 60 deliveries per month * Affiliated maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology support * Located in a scenic, vacation-like area outside Palm Springs city limits * Full benefits package for eligible employees Qualifications: * Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN * CA medical license or eligibility to obtain * OB Hospitalist experience preferred * DEA license (must be obtained prior to start) * Willingness to reside locally or relocate (discussed during interview) Compensation & Benefits: * Hourly rate: $150/hr (full-time annualized at approx. $328,500) * Additional bonus potential for full-time employees * Relocation assistance (if applicable) * Medical, dental, vision insurance * Teledoc, HSA, FSA * 401(k) with thrift and profit sharing plans * Life insurance and supplemental options * Critical illness, hospital, accident insurance * 8 weeks paid parental leave and bereavement leave * Short and long-term disability coverage * Identity theft protection * Employee Assistance Program and extensive perks
