- Seeking an experienced OB/GYN physician to provide 24-hour call coverage in a hospital-based Family Birthing Center.
- The role includes deliveries, C-sections, and emergency department coverage for OB/GYN-related issues.
- Coverage is needed to support cancellations and maternity leave.
Job Responsibilities
Manage deliveries (avg. 23–30 per month, up to 40)
Perform C-sections and gynecological procedures as needed
Provide ED call coverage for OB/GYN cases
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, pediatricians, and respiratory therapists
Complete required proctoring:
Two observed deliveries (including one C-section)
Three observed GYN cases (one hysteroscopy, one laparoscopic, one laparotomy)
Three-month retrospective review
Qualifications
Active California medical license – Required
DEA – Required at credentialing
Clean malpractice history – Preferred
Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency – Required
Documentation of at least 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past 24 months (or recent residency/fellowship logs) – Required
Working Hours
Average call-back workload: 4–6 hours per shift

Oct 31 (7a) – Nov 8 (7a)
Nov 26 (7a) – Dec 6 (7a)
Dec 22 (7a) – Dec 28 (7a)
Skills
Strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Ability to work independently in a high-acuity hospital setting
