OB/GYN Locum Tenens – Call Only Coverage
📍 California | Inpatient Setting | CA License Required
We are seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN for a call-only locum tenens opportunity in California. This role is focused on inpatient coverage only, including a wide scope of OB and GYN procedures in a low-risk, well-supported environment.
Assignment Overview
Coverage Type: Call Only (Inpatient)
Shift Structure: 12-hour and 24-hour call shifts
Privileging Timeframe: 30–60 days
CA License Required: Must be active at time of submission (no licensing assistance available)
Facility & Practice Details
Beds in Department: 3
Patient Volume: 10–15
Support Staff: 2 MAs
EMR: Cerner
Procedures & Clinical Scope
Obstetrics:
Low-risk pregnancy management
FHR interpretation: NST, CST, FSE
OB Ultrasound: Performance & interpretation, Level I/viability screening
Deliveries: Vaginal, low forceps, complicated, breech, c-section, abruptions
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Gynecology:
Office/Minor: IUD, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, Cystoscopy
Laparoscopic Minor: Tubal ligation, LOAs, chromopertubation
Operative/Major: Ectopic pregnancy management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOAs
Requirements
Board Certification: OB/GYN (Required)
Licensure: California license required at submission
Certifications: BLS, PALS (Required)
