Position Overview
A critical access hospital in Alaska is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN to provide a mix of clinic and call coverage. The provider will manage outpatient OB/GYN clinic, inpatient labor and delivery, and emergency consults.
This locums role offers expedited credentialing (AK license required at submission), consistent call stretches, and a supportive team environment with a second OB/GYN on backup at all times.
Assignment Highlights
- Coverage Dates: October 29, 2025 – April 28, 202
- Schedule:
- Clinic: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call: 24-hr call blocks (2–3 days in a row, with clinic in between)
- Call requirement: ~7 days/month, first or second call
- Practice Setting: Inpatient & outpatient (hospital + clinic privileges required)
- Beds: 25 total (5 L&D)
- Support: Always a second OB/GYN on call; 24/7 ED and hospitalist coverage
- Observed Holidays: New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
Skills & Experience
- Board Certified in OB/GYN (required)
- Active Alaska license (required at submission – no exceptions)
- DEA & CSR (required)
- EPIC EMR proficiency (required)
- Full-scope, general OB/GYN practice (deliveries, ED consults, L&D coverage)
- No expectation for scheduled surgeries unless assisting or as second surgeon
Job Responsibilities
Beds: 25 total (5 L&D)
Support: Always a second OB/GYN on call; 24/7 ED and hospitalist coverage
