Full-time locum tenens opportunity at a well-equipped facility in northwest Colorado, offering a balanced mix of clinic and call coverage in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

  • Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (4 days/week per provider)
  • Hospital Coverage: Variable Monday–Friday
  • Call Schedule: 1 in 4; approximately 8 call days/month
  • Call Type: No 24-hour in-house; CNMs typically cover weekends as first call
  • Call Back Percentage: Weekday – 80%, Weekend – 80%, OB – 80%, GYN – 20%

Caseload:

  • Practice Type: OB/GYN
  • Patient Mix:
    • Low-risk pregnancy – 50%
    • High-risk pregnancy – 50%
    • C-Section – 20%
    • Office GYN – 35%
    • Surgical GYN – Not applicable
  • Clinic Volume: 15–20 patients/day
  • Deliveries: ~6 per week per physician
  • Team Composition:
    • OB/GYNs – 3
    • Mid-levels – 2
    • MFM/Perinatologists – Virtual support
  • Supervision: Collaboration with 2 certified nurse midwives (not direct supervision)
  • OB/GYNs Onsite During Coverage: Yes

Worksite Resources:

  • Onsite Services: Lab and ultrasound (performed by techs)
  • Exam Rooms: 13
  • Support Staff: RNs assist MDs in clinic
  • Equipment: Ultrasound available
  • EMR System: Epic (used in both hospital and clinic)

Hospital Details:

  • Beds: 39 total, including 4 ICU beds
  • Trauma Level: III
  • Nursery: Level II (with transfer capability to higher-level NICU)
  • Transfer Protocol: Coordinated via central "DocLine"
  • Teaching Services: No involvement required

Required Procedures:

Obstetrics:
  • Management of low and high-risk pregnancies
  • Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
  • OB ultrasound interpretation (Level I/screening)
Labor & Delivery:
  • Routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, C-section decision-making
  • Complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, abruptions
  • Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Gynecology:
  • Office procedures: IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP
  • Surgical procedures:
    • Minor: Tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation
    • Major: Ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs

Travel Requirements:

  • Flight Cap: Up to $750 round trip
  • Lodging: Reimbursed up to $150/night with receipt
  • Car Rental: Economy car cap, reimbursed with receipt
  • Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
  • Travel Info Submission: Required 4 weeks prior to start

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified OB/GYN (ABMS/AOA) – Required
  • Colorado License or IMLC – Required
  • Full-time availability (minimum 3 weeks/month) – Required
  • COVID Vaccination – Required
  • Epic Experience: Must disclose years of experience and last month/year used – Required
