Details:
Locum to Perm OB/GYN Hospitalist to begin on January 1, 2026.
Schedule:
Start date: Jan 1, 2026
Patient Contact Hours: 7a-7a
Shifts per month: 6.5
Shift length: 24 hours
On Call: 24/7 (in house call. call rooms are available)
Job Responsibilities
Inpatient: Yes
Number of exam rooms per provider: 8 bed OBED
Medical Imaging: Yes
Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
Clinic provider daily volume: 1389 visits to OBED per year, roughly 463 result in deliveries
MFM will be on call. There are residents but the OB Hospitalist will not be in charge of them.
No GYN responsibilities
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities:
OBED patients
Emergent patients (vaginal deliveries and C-sections)
Patients without primary OBGYN
Only maternity transport team in Iowa
Qualifications
Board Certified (can accept truly board eligible candidates)
Active IA License or Active IMLC
Clean Malpractice/Background
Working Hours
7a-7a 24 hour call - 6.5 shifts per month
