A well-regarded hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio is seeking a Locum Tenens OB/GYN physician to provide 24-hour call-only coverage for select dates. This is a low-volume, non-in-house position with a quick credentialing process and full travel reimbursement. Ideal for OB/GYNs looking to supplement income with manageable call and minimal administrative burden.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide care for Labor & Delivery, inpatient consults, and OB emergencies
• Average 1 delivery per day (360 births/year)
• Low acuity setting, occasional high-risk deliveries referred out
• Use Meditech Expanse EMR
• No requirement to supervise other providers
• Minimal GYN surgery (not expected)
Qualifications
• Completion of ABOG or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency – Required
• Active Ohio medical license – Required
• Clean malpractice/licensure history – Highly Preferred
Working Hours
• Must be able to report to hospital within 30 minutes when on call
Skills
• OB ultrasound interpretation (Level I)
• NST & FSE interpretation
• Managing low-risk pregnancies
• Ability to repair 3rd/4th degree lacerations as needed
• Strong clinical judgment in low-resource environments
