Locum OBGYN needed in Christiansburg, VA - $1,500/day to $1,700/day

OBGYN Physician (MD/DO) – Locum Tenens Call Coverage

Schedule & Coverage

• Shifts: 8 × 24-hour call shifts per month (day, night, weekend)

• Coverage Type: Scheduled + On-Call

• Responsibilities:

  • OB services on labor and delivery

  • Unassigned OB/GYN call coverage

• Average Volume: ~70–75 deliveries and 20–25 non-obstetrical surgeries per month

Work Details

• Support Staff: 5 Board-Certified OB/GYNs, 5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 1 Certified Nurse Midwife

• Practice Setting: Hospital + Clinic

• EMR: EPIC

• Special Procedures: OB/GYN core procedures with minor GYN surgical

• Facility Size: 146-bed acute-care medical center with a staff of 280 physicians and a Level II Nursery

Requirements

• Board Certification: American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (required)

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years; client prefers 5+ years

• Licensure: Active Virginia license (not open to licensing)

• DEA: Required

• Certifications Preferred: EFM, NRP, PALS

• Credentialing: 90–120 days

• Name Clear Process: Required
