Locums | OB/GYN Hospitalist | 24-Hr Shifts | Des Moines, IA (IMLC accepted) Why This Role?

  • Full-time hospitalist need at a leading regional center
  • 24-hour shifts with consistent monthly scheduling
  • Handles all OBED patients, emergencies, and maternity transport
Assignment Details Duration: Starts January 1, 2026 - Ongoing Coverage Type: Inpatient Only (24-hour shifts) Schedule: 6.5 shifts per month, 7a to 7a, including weekends and holidays Clinical Details: OBED with 8 beds Approx. 1,389 OBED visits per year; 463 result in deliveries Manages emergent OB cases and patients without a primary OB Full-scope inpatient OB/GYN No supervision of APPs Onsite imaging, lab, and pharmacy EMR: Epic Emergent deliveries (vaginal and C-section) Requirements: Board certified or eligible in OB/GYN Active IA license or IMLC Clean history Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
