Exciting opportunity for a Board Certified OB/GYN to join a high-volume hospitalist program on a locum tenens basis. Step into a vital role managing OBED patients, handling emergent deliveries, and supporting Iowa’s only maternity transport team. Start date: December 24, 2025.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Manage emergent OB/GYN cases
• Care for patients without a designated OB
• Support transport operations (no telehealth or APP supervision)
Qualifications
• Active IA license or IMLC (with LOQ)
• Clean malpractice and background
• Must be available to start by December 24, 2025
Working Hours
• 6.5 shifts/month
• No more than two 24-hour shifts in a row
• Weekend and on-call availability required
Skills
• Strong clinical judgment in emergent cases
• Proficient in Epic EMR
• Comfortable in high-acuity, high-volume environments
