We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrician/Gynecologists to provide comprehensive women’s healthcare services at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility. The OB/GYN will deliver inpatient and outpatient services to female adolescent and adult patients, including prenatal, surgical, and postpartum care, while respecting cultural sensitivities of the Native American population.


Job Responsibilities

• Perform full-scope OB/GYN services, including well-woman exams, labor and delivery, cesarean sections, and gynecological surgeries 
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and order/interpret diagnostics 
• Provide outpatient clinic care and inpatient rounds 
• Participate in a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule 
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records via EHR 
• Prescribe medications and order labs in compliance with IHS formulary 
• Collaborate with medical staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives 
• Comply with all federal and facility-specific safety, privacy, and infection control regulations

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school 
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology 
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory 
• Current BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS preferred but not required) 
• At least one year of recent OB experience, including active delivery work 
• Must meet all immunization and health screening requirements, including COVID-19 
• Ability to pass federal background checks and fingerprinting for IHS clearance 
• Cultural sensitivity and experience working with Native American populations is a plus 

Additional Requirements: 

• Must carry professional liability insurance with coverage of at least $1M per occurrence and $3M aggregate 
• Must complete credentialing and privileging prior to start (may take up to 3 months) 
• No previous adverse medical licensure actions permitted for credentialing 
• Must comply with HIPAA, Indian Child Protection Act, and related laws

Working Hours

Period of Performance: 36 months (anticipated schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off) 

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM weekdays, with 24-hour on-call coverage including holidays
