Obstetrics Hospitalist Locums - North Carolina, 24-Hour PRN Shifts
OB hospitalist assignment in North Carolina near Raleigh; inpatient only with 24-hour shifts and flexible monthly scheduling.
Highlights
- 24-hour in-house call with callback averaging 2 hours
- No clinic or outpatient duties
- Choose 5 to 15 shifts per month, PRN style
- Coverage available through end of 2026
Practice Setting
- Inpatient-only unit with Level I nursery
- Pediatricians and anesthesia on site
- No midwives; hospital staff only
- Charting via Epic and OBIX
Schedule
- 24-hour shifts ending by 6 am
- Monthly shift selection based on your availability
- Multiple grouped shifts offered for efficient travel
Cases and Procedures
- Deliveries, including VBACs
- OB consults, rounding, family planning consults
- No abortion services or outpatient follow-up
- Forceps use optional
Requirements
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active North Carolina license required
- BLS and DEA certifications
Travel Accommodations
- Airfare, hotel, rental car, and mileage all covered
