Job description
We’re seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician for night shift locum coverage in Oregon. This is a great opportunity for providers who are confident managing both low- and high-risk obstetrics in an inpatient setting.
Job Responsibilities
Manage both low- and high-risk pregnancies, including periviability consults up to 22 weeks
Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds
Conduct routine and complex deliveries: vaginal, forceps-assisted, C-sections, breech, multiple births, and VBACs
Manage gynecologic surgical emergencies (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, etc.)
Interpret fetal heart rate tracings (NST, CST, FSE) and intervene as necessary
Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Qualifications
Active Oregon state medical license (required)
Proficient in managing high-risk obstetric patients independently
Experience working inpatient night shifts preferred
Comfortable collaborating with Certified Nurse Midwives and OB/GYN colleagues
Working Hours
Scheduling blocks: 3 to 4 consecutive night shifts preferred
Need is for 2–3 blocks of coverage in November and December 2025

Skills
Proficiency in OB ultrasound performance and interpretation
Surgical skills for emergent GYN cases and complicated OB deliveries
Strong Fetal Heart Rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
Ability to work independently in a hospital inpatient setting using Epic EMR
