💼 Position Type: 1099 Locum Tenens

Opportunity Overview:

Step into a low-volume, high-support environment in a well-equipped community hospital for a short-term OB/GYN call assignment. This role is off-site call only—no clinic duties—with a flexible extension option for an additional call day.

Key Details:

• Off-site call for Family Birth Center – must be within 30 minutes of hospital

• 44-bed hospital (includes med/surg, ICU, and birth center)

• Average: 1 delivery/day, 1 nursery admission/day

• No GYN emergencies expected during coverage window

• Sole OB/GYN on call during assignment (team includes 3 OB/GYNs + 1 GYN normally)

• Support: RNs, CRNAs, RTs, anesthesiologist on-site

• Level I nursery | Onsite ultrasound + lab

• EMR: Meditech Expanse

Required OB/GYN Skills:

Obstetrics:

• Management of both low- and high-risk pregnancies (e.g., twins, toxemia, diabetes)

• Basic OB ultrasound (Level I/Screening)

• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)

Labor & Delivery:

• Routine vaginal delivery

• Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiples, abruption

• Repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations

Gynecology:

• Minor laparoscopic procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs)

• Major gynecologic surgeries (ectopic, ovarian procedures)

• Open procedures as needed

Requirements:

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN – Required

• Active Ohio License – Required

• NRP Certification – Required
