Job Opportunity: Medical Director - Maternal Fetal Medicine

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Director to lead a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice in a vibrant, growing community in the Mid-Atlantic. Join our practice at the Bon Secours/Mercy Health System in vibrant Richmond, Virginia. St. Mary’s Hospital, the flagship hospital of Bon Secours Mercy Health, is a well-respected hospital system in the Richmond area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a 2+ MFM practice for consult-only service.
• Oversee a Level 3 NICU with Pediatrix-affiliated Neonatologists.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient clinics.
• Utilize Viewpoint and EPIC systems for practice management.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.
• This is a permanent position that requires residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be necessary.
• Ideal candidates should not want to commute long distances or work alongside other positions.
• Not open to candidates with lapsed Board Certification(s) or those who require visa sponsorship or locums assignments.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN - [REQUIRED]
• Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine - [REQUIRED]
• Fellowship-trained in MFM - [REQUIRED]
• Virginia license (or willingness to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
• BLS, ACLS (or willingness to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
• Clean Malpractice and License History - [REQUIRED]
• Prior employment experience in leadership roles (number of years preferred).

License and Certification Requirements:

• VA Medical License (must be obtained before start).
• DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
• Clean Malpractice and License History.
• Compliance with credentialing requirements at the facility.
