Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gynecology Physician and Clinical Educator to join our healthcare team within Student Health Services at a renowned university located in Suffolk County, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical education, mentorship, and procedural training. You will be responsible for training healthcare providers in performing pelvic exams and other gynecological procedures, ensuring adherence to evidence-based care. This role does not include obstetrics but focuses solely on gynecology. The individual will serve as the expert in gynecological best practices, providing hands-on training, clinical oversight, and guidance to maintain the highest standard of patient care.
The pay range for this position is flexible and starts at $150-$200/hour (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Shadow providers to evaluate technique, provide feedback, and standardize best practices across Student Health Services.
- Performing and training others in gynecological procedures, including pelvic exams, gynecological screenings, and evidence based care practices
- Training and experience in performing pelvic exams, pap smears, and STI screening/treatment
- Experience with preventive care, contraception counseling, and reproductive health services
- Clinical supervision
Qualifications
- Board Certified or board eligible required
- DEA License required
- CPR/BLS Certification Required
Working Hours
Duration: 18 months (potential to extend)
Skills
- Knowledge of inclusive, patient-centered, and culturally competent gynecological care practices.
- Experience with LGBTQ+ inclusive care, and PrEP prescribing.
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting.
- ACLS certification
