JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Obstetrics/Gynecology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Burlington, NC
• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Coverage Type: Call Only
• Coverage Period: May 1, 2025 – Ongoing
• On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM): Mostly Wed - Thurs, 1–2 call shifts per week; 1–2 weekends/month
• Call Type: Beeper
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics (ages 16–65)
• Patient Volume/Census: Low; approximately 450 births/year
• Admissions: Yes
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Emergency Room coverage, backup to CNMs
FACILITY INFORMATION
• EMR System: Epic (Experience Required)
• Specialty Backup Available: CNM team on-site

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active North Carolina license required
• Certifications: Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology; DEA required
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in OB/GYN; experience with CNMs preferred
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and OB/GYN ER cases
• Serve as backup for Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
• Respond promptly to emergency OB situations
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely charting in Epic
