JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: OB Laborist
• Job Type: Locum - Perm
• Location: Salem, OR
• Service Setting: Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period:ASAP - Ongoing
• Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts 7a - 7a,
- 11-13 shifts per month
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Newborn - Adult
• Annual Delivery: 2300
- This OB group manages approximately 30-40 deliveries per month
- Another 30-40 deliveries per month managed by the midwifery group
- Additional coverage by two other provider groups
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Case Mix: High-risk births, emergency obstetric cases, labor & delivery only
- No GYN procedures
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Trauma Level: Level 3 NICU
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff Available:
- Midwives
- 24-hour in-house anesthesiologist

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Active OR license or Willing to obtain
• BC
• DEA Required
• NRP
• ACLS, BLS
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide obstetric care and manage labor and delivery cases
• Perform C-sections and handle high-risk deliveries
• Collaborate with midwives and anesthesia team for coordinated care
• Triage and treat emergent obstetric cases
• Work within a Level 3 NICU environment
• Ensure accurate documentation using the EPIC EMR system
