Duration: 3-4 months, with the possibility to extend
Start Date: Available as soon as possible
Schedule:
- Full-time: 5 days/week (8-hour shifts)
OR - 4 days/week (9-hour shifts)
- One evening shift per week (10 AM - 7 PM)
- A minimum of one Saturday per month
- Caseload: 22–25 patients per 8-hour shift / 25–28 patients per 9-hour shift
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board Certified OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our team. The role will primarily focus on managing and providing care for high-risk OB/GYN outpatient patients. This position will require you to manage a diverse range of women's health conditions, from routine care to more complex, high-risk cases. You will work within a collaborative environment and provide expert care to women in an outpatient setting, focusing on the full scope of OB/GYN services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-scope obstetrics and gynecology care, including routine and high-risk outpatient care
- Perform IUD and Nexplanon insertions, HRT management, endometrial biopsies, and management of abnormal pap smears and colposcopy procedures
- Perform LEEP, cryotherapy, and other minor surgical procedures as needed
- Deliveries and surgeries are required in this role
- Manage and monitor high-risk OB/GYN patients
- Provide in-house call coverage
- EMR system: eCW (Electronic Charting)
Qualifications:
- Board Certified OB/GYN
- Active Virginia medical license required
- Experience in managing high-risk OB/GYN patients in an outpatient setting
- Proficient with IUD/Nexplanon insertions, HRT, and procedures like LEEP and cryo
- Comfort and experience in performing deliveries and surgeries
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
