LOCUM POSITION DETAILS #43840 – 1 hour outside of Tacoma, WA

Dates: Mid-Late August 2024-12/31/2024.

Duties: OB/GYN clinic care, OB and GYN call coverage through L&D Unit and ED.

· 24 Hour Call. 7a-7a with 20 min response time / Rounding – only for post-op.

· Clinic 8a-5p, Mon – Friday / # of clinic patients per day: 18.

· Call back averages:

Weekdays: 3-4 hours; weekday less than 50%

Weekend: 1-2 hours; includes ER.

· Orientation: Commitment to an orientation date.

· Schedule: 7-8 call shifts/month, can be combined with clinic days.

3 days of clinic per week, 3 weeks per month – preferred

Preference to clinic consistency.

· Multi-specialty office setting

· Support: 2 OB/GYN, 2 FPBO, and 2 CNM.

· Hospital: 25 bed critical access hospital with 3 L&D beds and 4 post-partum beds.

Level I Nursery

Level I Trauma – only 36 weeks and above.

· Will the locum be the sole provider? On call yes, will have colleagues in clinic.

· Any MFMs? Can refer out, not on site.

· In house anesthesia? Yes

· Will locum do admit? Yes

· Required procedures: C-Section, Ectopic.

· Typical Cases: OB: low risk/high risk, ultrasounds, amniocentesis. L&D: routine/complicated, VBACs, C-Sections. GYN: GYN Surgery

· EMR: EPIC

· Support Staff: MA or LPN in clinic. L&D RNs at hospital.

REQUIRED:

• WA state license; active, unrestricted. Considering IMLC (LOQ in hand).
• Board certified - OBGYN.
• DEA, BLS.
• Minimum 100 deliveries in the past 24 months.
• Bid Due Date: 5/29/24 3 pm CST.
• Must be willing to help and supervise if needed. Must be comfortable handling OB inductions from group, mostly emergent GYN surgeries.
