**Locums Obstetrics and Gynecology Position in Joplin, MO** **Coverage** - Start: ASAP - End: Ongoing **Position Details** - Practice Setting: Both Outpatient and Inpatient - EMR System: Epic - Providers Requested: 1 - Coverage Type: Call Only - Will Facility Accept Multiple Providers? Yes - Patients Per Shift: 15 - Bed In Department: 18 **Requirements** - Minimum Board Certification: Certified - License Requirement: Licensed in MO or IMLC - The Following Certifications Are Required: ACLS - Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days **Location & Accommodations** - Nearest Airport: Joplin MO **Work Schedule** - Call Type: Beeper - Call Response Time Required: 20 min - Call Ratio: 1:4 - Call Back %: 50% - Avg Call # per 24 Hr: Varies - Phone Consults: [Register to View] - Patients Seen: 10 - Admissions: 5 **Specialty Skills Required** - Low and high-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB Ultrasounds (Performance of, interpretation, Level I/Screening, Level II/Targeted), amniocentesis, routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for c-section, C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs), repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations. - Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.), surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures, and major operative procedures. **Additional Information** - 1 weekend per month to start, with potential for additional coverage. - Weekdays coverage is from 7 PM to 7 AM, where providers would round on their own patients. - Weekend shifts can range from 12-24 hours, with a maximum from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM. - During weekends, only the call physician rounds on all patients. - This position may also involve covering the ER and could result in occasional D&C, management of ectopic pregnancy, emergent GYN surgery, or GYN readmits, though these are not frequent occurrences.
