Job Title: Obstetrician-Gynecologist (Locum Tenens)

Location: Washington State - 1 hr south of Seattle

Job Description: Client is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join team on a locum tenens basis. This position is crucial for maintaining continuity of care as we seek a permanent provider. The ideal candidate will be responsible for covering office duties, surgical procedures, and participating in on-call rotations. This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment with a comprehensive medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive OBGYN care in a clinic setting from Monday to Friday plus call rotations
  • ERA LOCUMS will provide virtual scribe services for all clinic hours to allow for less administrative tasks and greater patient care
  • Conduct surgical procedures and manage post-operative care.
  • Serve in on-call rotations to address urgent patient needs and emergencies.
  • Manage an average of 18-20 patient visits per day in the clinic.
  • Oversee approximately 9-14 births per month.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including MDs, a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Physician Assistants (PAs), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Medical Assistants (MAs).
  • Ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.

Orientation:

  • Mandatory orientation will be conducted from Monday to Friday during the first week of employment to familiarize with clinic protocols, team, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Valid state medical license in Washington (Note: Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) not accepted).
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Demonstrated experience in both clinical and surgical settings.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Support Structure:

  • Anesthesiology services are provided by hospital-employed Anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
  • CNMs take the first call, supported by the comprehensive medical team.
