Schedule

  • Scheduled clinic hours + call
  • June 20 - July 8 (finishing on the 8th)
  • 1 week on/ 1 week off

Clinical Details

  • Outpatient and inpatient
  • Rounding patients: outpatient and inpatient
  • Multispecialty group
  • Current number of providers: 2 Perinatologists, 3 OB/GYN, 1 GYN
  • Patients per day: 30 outpatient, 10 inpatients, 2 admissions, 2 discharges
  • % C-section/Response Time: 15 minutes
  • Average # of patients per physician/day: 30 clinic, 5 hospitals
  • Average # of deliveries per physican/week: 5
  • Ancillary services: Certified Nurse Midwife Program
  • Equipment/Technology: Level 3A NICU, Helicopter service, AIUM Certification, Obstetrics and Gynecology PA Certification Ultrasound, IAL and AIUM Certification Fetal Echocardiogram
  • Inpatient duties include daily rounding including weekends on antepartum high risk patients, manage phone calls regarding antepartum patients, maternal transfer line phone calls
  • Outpatients duties include new office patients consults, return consults, OB/GYN ultrasound readings, fetal echo readings, any obstetrical emergency outpatient arising issues

Requirements

  • Board Certified through ABO+G with a subspecialty in MFM
    • Successful completion of residency in OB/GYN accredited by the ACGME or AOA
  • Active PA License
  • Active PA DEA (permanent PA DEA - address change will not be accepted)
  • Fellowship
    • Successful completion of a fellowship in MFM accredited by the ACGME or AOA
  • ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
  • Experienced Perinatologist
  • Must actively perform c-sections, fetal echos, CVS and gyn U/S

Call

  • 2nd call/backup
  • CNM is 1st call, ob/gyn is 2nd call, mfm is 3rd call (b/u to ob/gyn)
  • Call response time: 15 minutes
  • Certified Nurse Midwives take 1st call

Support Staff

  • 2 Neonatologist
  • 3 CRNP
  • 5 CNM
  • 7 NICU in-house midlevel providers
