OB/GYN Opportunity - Helena, MT
Come join us in Helena, MT, and work where you play!
Helena Ob/Gyn is a private practice of 4 physicians and 1 CNM, and we are looking to hire a BC/BE Ob/Gyn within the next year to attain 1:5 call. We are also looking for another CNM, if anyone reading this has any contacts.
Helena and the surrounding area has a population of 60k with amazing access to outdoor activities. There are 5 lakes and local skiing (Great Divide Ski Area) within a 30-minute drive. Helena is about 2 hours from Big Sky if that’s more your speed. There are 70+ miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Montana is known for its world class fly fishing, ice fishing, and bird and big game hunting. Our idea of traffic is waiting for 4 cars at a roundabout. One of our doctors lives 7.6 miles from the hospital, and the commute is 12 minutes.
Our physicians average 600-700 deliveries per year and deliver 35 week +. Call is home call at 1 hospital, St. Peter’s Health, that is a 2 minute walk from the office. SPH compensates Helena Ob/Gyn for backing up the hospital’s FPOBs and taking unassigned OB and ED call.
The physicians operate at SPH, where there is a da Vinci Xi robot available, and most minors are at an attached surgery center. The surgery center is surgeon-owned within the community and an excellent investment opportunity. Our physicians perform 50-70 hysterectomies per year and operate an average of 1 day per week.
Office hours are typically 8-4:30 with an average of 22-25 patients per day. There are strict and even OB and Gyn slots in order to keep the patient panel balanced. LEEP and colposcopy are available in-office. There are 3 ultrasonographers in-office with contracts with MFM and radiology to read scans, if preferred. Physicians each have our own comfort level with what we are willing and able to read.
MFM and Gyn Onc have outreach clinics in the office multiple times per month. The physicians operate with Gyn Onc when they are here. REI and UroGyn are about an hour and a half away.
