**OBGYN Hospitalist Opening - Torrance, CA**
*24Hr Shifts*
**Position Details**
- Full-time, permanent
- 7-8 shifts/month
- Reliable back-up schedule for physicians to assist us on any GYN surgeries or C-sections.
- Most patients are low or average risk, or they have the more common high-risk issues (hypertension, diabetes).
- MFMs are available for phone or in-person consultation when indicated
- GYN/Oncology is available for any GYN surgical referrals/consults for complicated cases.
- In addition to affiliated MFMs and neonatologists, there is good pediatric subspecialty support
- Level III NICU
**Responsibilities**
- Delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring and ER coverage
- Care of any unassigned OB and GYN patients--whether they be admissions, OB triage, ER consults, GYN surgery, or floor consults
- Assisting the community physicians with C-sections
- Attending any emergencies when called by the RNfetal decelerations, precipitous deliveries, PPHwhile the primary OB is on their way (if they are not already in-house)
