Bon Secours Mercy Health Fairfield Hospital is looking for OB/GYN locum coverage for both Fairfield Hospital & Mercy West Hospital starting March 2024!

Open dates:
  • 12 hour shifts, weekdays and weekends
  • Through October 2024

Job Details:
  • Reason for Coverage: existing independent group leaving hospital
  • Practice Setting: Hospital house doc day shift and hospital house doc night shift (12 hour shifts)
  • No practice scheduled patients
  • Other OB/GYNs not onsite during locum coverage
  • Labs & Ultrasound onsite
  • Level I Nursery
  • EMR: Epic
Required Duties & Procedures:
  • Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
  • OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
  • OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation
  • Amniocentesis
  • Routine Delivery –Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
  • Complicated Delivery –C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
  • VBAC’s
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
  • Surgical Gynecology – Open
  • Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA’s
  • Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA’s, Chromal Tubation
Estimated credentialing timeframe: ~60 days; emergency temp privs are available

Travel Reimbursement Information:
  • LOCAL PROVIDERS ONLY - Mileage Reimbursement

REQUIREMENTS

  • Board Certified
  • Active OH license
  • ACLS Certified
  • Flu vaccine
  • COVID Vaccine - Preferred
  • 100% CLEAN BACKGROUIND REQUIRED

Job Responsibilities

Required Duties & Procedures:

Working Hours

Hospital house doc day shift and hospital house doc night shift (12 hour shifts)

March- October 7am-7pm
