Are you a dedicated OBGYN physician looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team in Buffalo, NY? Look no further! A Large Suburban Hospital and established group is seeking a compassionate and skilled OBGYN physicians to join our renowned institution.

Position Details:
Facility Type: A Suburban Hospital and outpatient clinic, multiple sites.
Shift Schedule: Full-time with call responsibilities spread between large team of Physicians and APRN's
Expected Start Date: June 2024.
Expected Patient Volume: 15-18
Call Schedule: Approximately 1 week night per week and every 5th weekend.

Clinical Experience:
Board-certified or eligible OBGYN physicians are preferred.

Practice Setting:
Hospital based with outpatient clinics

Clinical Skills:
- Common conditions experienced: High-risk obstetrics.
- Procedures required: LARCs, biopsies, colposcopies, minor and major surgeries.
- Group has access to 5 Da Vinci Robots - Scheduled Block Times
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems: MEDENT.

Support and Resources:
- Abundant support staff including administrative personnel, medical assistants, LPNs, and RNs.
- Specialty-specific resources such as imaging, laboratory services, and pharmacy available at various sites.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive compensation package with a base guarantee
- Sign-On Bonus: $25,000.
- Relocation assistance of up to $10,000.
- Additional bonuses available based on wRVU thresholds.
- Full benefit package including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and malpractice insurance.

Additional Accommodations:
- CME allowance of 40 hours per year and $2,500 reimbursement.

Job Responsibilities

Typical day-to-day responsibilities of an OBGYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) may include:

Patient Consultations: Conducting consultations with patients to assess their reproductive and gynecologic health, including pregnancy-related concerns, menstrual disorders, contraceptive needs, and menopausal symptoms.

Prenatal Care: Providing comprehensive prenatal care to pregnant patients, including routine prenatal visits, prenatal testing and screening, monitoring fetal growth and development, and addressing any pregnancy-related complications or concerns.

Labor and Delivery: Managing labor and delivery for pregnant patients, attending deliveries, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, providing pain management options, and performing obstetric procedures such as cesarean sections (C-sections) as needed.

Gynecological Examinations: Performing routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Family Planning: Counseling patients on contraceptive options, providing contraceptive services such as insertion of intrauterine devices (IUDs) or contraceptive implants, and performing sterilization procedures as requested.

Diagnostic Procedures: Conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures such as ultrasounds, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and diagnostic hysteroscopies to evaluate gynecologic conditions.

Surgical Procedures:Performing surgical procedures to address gynecologic conditions, including minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopies, hysteroscopies, and robotic-assisted surgeries, as well as major surgeries such as hysterectomies and myomectomies.

Management of Gynecologic Conditions: Diagnosing and managing a wide range of gynecologic conditions, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, and gynecologic cancers.

Postpartum Care:Providing postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including postpartum check-ups, breastfeeding support, management of postpartum complications, and addressing any concerns related to maternal or neonatal health.

Emergency Care:Responding to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies such as ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, postpartum hemorrhage, and obstetric or gynecologic trauma, and providing timely and appropriate medical intervention.

Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice.

Qualifications

- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a four-year residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Board certification or Eligible from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or equivalent certifying body.
- Possession of a valid medical license to practice medicine.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and managing obstetric and gynecologic conditions.
- Skilled in performing routine and complex surgeries.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Attention to detail in patient assessment and documentation.
