The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a fourth subspecialty-trained; board eligible/certified Urogynecologist to work as a full-time clinician/educator at the assistant or associate professor level. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a young, collaborative, and robust full-time faculty who provide care primarily at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in central Philadelphia.

Our employed specialty care practice group is seeking to add a new full-time specialist in Urogynecology/Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery to support hospital sites in Philadelphia. This is an opportunity to join a well-established medical system and pioneer new techniques and technologies. About the Position

  • Full-time position with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
  • Successful candidate will join three experienced physicians and an experienced dedicated nurse practitioner

The Department’s urogynecology practice works closely with our colleagues in the Department of Urology in collaborative efforts focused on providing outstanding, comprehensive care to women with complaints relating to pelvic floor disorders. Other services available in the practice include a Pelvic Health RN, a dedicated nurse practitioner, and a robust women's health physical therapy department. Other strengths include complementary specialists in pelvic pain and minimally invasive gynecological surgery, GI medicine and Colorectal surgery, anesthesiology, and behavioral health. The Department of Integrative Medicine represents a particularly strong and unique opportunity at Jefferson. The Department boasts an outstanding training program with 20 residents who come from all parts of the country, and a culture of excellence in clinical care, education, scholarship, and service.

  • Successful completion of an accredited MD or DO medical school program

  • Successful completion of a ACGME accredited OB/Gyn residency program

  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited FPMRS Fellowship

  • Board certified (preferrable)/board eligible in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is required

  • Advanced laparoscopic and/or robotic surgical experience is required
