Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician

Location: Iowa City, Iowa

• Schedule of 8x24hr blocks each month, $150/hour
• 8 days a month with 24 hour coverage
• Housing will be provided, at least​ a 13-week assignment
• Laborist (focus is on delivery), call coverage for delivery

Our wonderful acute care hospital located near Iowa City, Iowa is seeking a compassionate Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician to provide care to patients in their beautiful and friendly community. As a Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to women's reproductive health, including but not limited to pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat patients with obstetrical and gynecological issues
• Perform routine check-ups, including breast and pelvic exams
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and deliveries
• Educate patients about reproductive health and contraception options
• Perform surgeries when necessary, such as cesarean sections and hysterectomies

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Valid medical license in the state of Iowa
• DEA registration
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain medical information to patients in an easy-to-understand manner
