Job Description

A Porterville based client is seeking an excellent OB/GYN to provide outpatient OB/GYN care and deliveries in a multidisciplinary community health center. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well in a collaborative environment and practices evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current California state medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified as OBGYN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Preferred - Fluent in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized
  • procedures and company policy.
  • Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
  • Conduct mood and emotional well-being assessments during post-partum appointment
  • Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.
  • Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.
  • Conduct routine check-up appointments and maintain follow up throughout patients’ care.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients.
  • Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
