TeamHealth OB/Gyn hospitalist programs provide an opportunity to further your career by serving as a medical director for our new OB/Gyn hospitalist program in Shelbyville, Indiana! TeamHealth's medical directors collaborate and support the clinical team, work alongside the hospital leadership and medical staff while serving as part of the clinical team. As a member of the TeamHealth OB/Gyn leadership team, the facility medical director reports to the national medical director (NMD) or associate regional medical director (AMD), and collaborates with the NMD/AMD, senior vice president of operations and director of operations to maintain close collaboration among the clinical team and hospital leadership, and drive patient safety and quality initiatives as required by the TeamHealth Patient Safety Organization.

Ideal candidates will be board-certified with at least 2 years of leadership experience, able to demonstrate clinical excellence with superior communication skills, practice clinically at the designated facility. Qualifications also include, having an active and current skills in the full breadth of the OB/Gyn specialty with the skill set and confidence to be the only covering clinician in the event of an emergency, and a focus on providing quality care, placing the patient above all other considerations.
