Hospital is looking for OB/GYN Call coverage!
Please note: the site can do can POSSIBLY do urgent privileges within 48 hours of the first shift

Contracted Hotel: GoldMiner's Inn

  • Dates of coverage: 11.20.22 (a) - 11.28.22 (a) ,12.23.22 (a) - 01.01.23 (a)
  • Schedule: 24hr call coverage
  • Rounding: Yes, if there are patients
  • EMR – Cerner
  • Procedures: All OBGYN. Specific procedures TBD
  • Credentialing timeframe: Min 10 days from completed app

Rates: Site will not consider rates over $2,800.

  • 24hr call rate: best rate to include min 4 hrs call back
  • Hourly call back after 4 hrs: best hourly rate

Qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology for New Applicants:

To be eligible for core privileges in obstetrics and gynecology, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:

  • Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or
  • Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology;

and

  • Demonstration of performance of at least 100 gynecological surgical procedures in the past two years or successful completion of a hospital-affiliated formalized residency or clinical fellowship.

Special Procedures: Successful completion of an approved, recognized course when such exists, or acceptable supervised training in residency, fellowship or other acceptable program; and demonstration of indications for the procedure/test/therapy, and documentation of competence to obtain and retain clinical privileges as set forth in Departmental policies governing the exercise of specific privileges.

Proctoring Requirements: Proctoring is required for all appointees having interval or new privileges in accordance with the specific proctoring requirements of the relevant departments (Refer to the Proctor Program Guidelines). Additional proctoring may be required for specific privileges.

1)OB Proctoring shall include concurrent observation of: a) the first two (2) non-emergency deliveries by different observers, if possible; b) if Provisional member is granted privileges for C-Section, one of the two (2) deliveries observed must be a C-Section.

2) GYN Proctoring shall include concurrent observation of first three (3) cases; one (1) hysteroscopy; one (1) operative laparoscopy and one (1) open laparotomy

3) Retrospective review of three (3) months is required as a minimum.

Initial Applicants: (Refer to Case Listing Guidelines)

  • For applicants in fields performing operative and other procedure(s), please attach a listing and summary of your operative and invasive procedures for the past 24 months. Please include on the listing the name and date of the procedure, admission and discharge date, and where performed. Applicants recently completing a residency or fellowship should attach a copy of the residency/fellowship logs of procedures performed and provide a letter from the program director attesting to current demonstrated competency for the privileges requested.

  • Local, no flights – HIGHLY PREFERRED
