Perm Physician – Hospitalist (Nocturnist) – Syracuse, NY

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nocturnist Hospitalist to provide overnight inpatient care in Syracuse, NY. This opportunity offers a structured 7-on/7-off schedule (7 PM – 7 AM) within a well-established, physician-led hospitalist program.

Experience is REQUIRED – No new graduates will be considered.
Not accepting Locums candidates.
Not accepting Visa candidates.

Practice Highlights

• Provide overnight inpatient care (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts
• Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight
• Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations
• Provide closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate appropriate follow-up care arrangements upon discharge
• Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR
• Deliver patient-centered, high-quality inpatient care
• Work within a physician-led governance structure
• Be part of a respected, collegial Hospitalist team
• Utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills in acute care settings

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine – REQUIRED
• NY Medical License (or willingness to obtain) – REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice and license history – REQUIRED
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – REQUIRED at presentation (No Exemptions)
• DEA required
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Must confirm visa status at submission (Visa candidates will not be accepted)
