Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nocturnist Hospitalist to join a well-established hospital medicine team in beautiful Shelton CT . This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment at a highly regarded facility, with a focus on providing quality inpatient care during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care during night shifts, managing admissions from the emergency department and direct admissions from outpatient providers.
• Perform nightly rounds on inpatients and respond to codes and rapid response calls.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient care using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees as needed.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active CT medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Previous hospitalist or nocturnist experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

• No outpatient responsibilities.
• Average patient load: manageable to support quality care.
